Bridge - Afternoon: 2nd Thursday @ 1:00 PM
We are a very friendly, relaxed group and welcome all bridge players with basic playing skills. Normally, we have two to three tables and play until about 4:00 pm. Chairs are rotated every four hands so you get a chance to play with everyone. Members take turn hosting. Each month, the location is listed in the Welcome Mat. Please call or email the hostess to insure your seat at the table!
Party bridge is our game! We are casual and friendly! We welcome all players with at least basic playing skills. We meet in the home of our Chair, normally have four or five tables and play until 1:00 pm. Since there is limited space, we start a waiting list of substitutes once the tables are full.
We play "Pennies from Heaven" canasta. It's easy to learn and we'll gladly teach you. We meet at 10:30 am at the Village Shopping Center Publix on Patterson Ave on the 4th Monday and at Charter Colony Publix on the 2nd Friday. We enjoy the cards, friendship, and an optional lunch out afterwards. Please sign up to reserve a place at the table.
American Mah Jongg is a traditional tile game, much like Rummy. We use the National Mah Jongg playing card and the object of the play is to use your tiles to form a selected pattern from the playing card. The game involves strategy, skill and a certain degree of luck! It’s a lot of fun and highly addictive. Members take turn hosting. Interested in an afternoon playing a fun, challenging game? Join us for this ancient tile game. Unlike American Mah Jongg, we are not restricted to a preprinted playing card; we have over 80 hands and the combinations are abundant. Members take turns hosting. This is the group for newcomers so if you are interested, please contact the Chair.
We are a word-loving social group that meets at the Westwood Club (6200 West Club Lane, Richmond, VA) and welcomes newcomers at all levels of familiarity with Scrabble! Approved word list and the Official Scrabble Dictionary are provided online. Many players opt to stay for lunch in the dinning room.
Join a group of gamers who enjoy a variety of card and board games. Each month will feature two games to play. Some may be new, but the games chosen are not too complicated to pick up easily. There will be a few oldies (Dominoes, Monopoly, Hearts) and some new (Ticket to Ride, Five Crowns, Jenga). Games that already have an interest group will not be included.
