The New Virginians Club Luncheons

Club Members gather most months for a Luncheon Meeting followed by a program designed to further enrich our lives. These events are enlivened by raffles to benefit our philanthropic mission. Program topics have included adult literacy, heart health, Virginia history, local theater, live performances and other subjects of interest to women. In April, we host a Fashion Show and in December a holiday auction. Luncheons are usually held on the second Wednesday of the month. We meet in area country clubs and restaurants.

Below are some of our recent lunch venues and programs.

Any nonmember wishing to attend should contact our Membership VP, at membership@newvaclub.org for a guest reservation.

Explore Local Wine Making - May 10, 2023 Federal Country Club

Our guest speaker for May was Tassie Pippert the host of Un-Wined on VPM(PBS). Journey along with the Emmy Award winning host as we discover the tastes and terroir of Virginia; explore local wine making tradition, and the rich history of wine in the Commonwealth.

Along the way we learn about modern wine production techniques and fantastic recipes that pair well with the chosen wines. Tassie said as soon as she tastes a wine, she can picture the exact right dish to go with it! She also shared behind the scenes photos of what her team does on the road.
